DINING
Have a candle light dinner alongside other guests laughing and conversing in the quiet open restaurant, or choose a spot by the pool, on the beach or in the garden to have a private moment with one another under the stars of the Southern skies. And look for the famous 'Southern Cross' formation which has guided travellers in times gone by.
Each evening, enjoy the enchanting harmony of the Maravu Serenades as they play Fijian songs. Every week they have a Fijian meke, and lovo feast, so that you may enjoy watching traditional dances and taste delicious food which is cooked 'Fijian style' in an underground oven.
Try some Kava, the traditional Fijian drink made out of a pepper root plant. Also enjoy their special Indian curry night ... almost half of Fiji's population are Indian.

ACCOMMODATION
Planters Bures - Each Bure has a private outdoor shower and Jacuzzi. This Bure type has both, an inside and an outside shower and in addition to the sun deck a covered verandah. The outdoor furniture consists of Mahogany pool beds, chairs and tables. The maximum occupancy for this Bure is 3 adults or 2 adults with 2 children. The Deluxe Bures are air-conditioned and have Garden-view.
Honeymoon Bures - all have a large outdoor river-rock courtyard, with an open-air shower and a Jacuzzi spa tub. The spacious Bure has a sitting area, a bedroom, and also a full indoor bathroom. The Honeymoon Bures feature fine furnishings such as palm tree wood furniture and 4-poster king-size bed. The sun deck and covered verandah also features comfortable furniture. Each Honeymoon Bure has full ocean view. The maximum occupancy for the Bure is 2 adults.
With a large sitting room and expansive bedroom, the four Honeymoon Deluxe Suites are both elegant and relaxing. An open-air river rock courtyard boasts an outdoor shower and a Jacuzzi spa waterfall pool. The large living space and bedroom features very comfortable furniture, along with a spacious indoor bathroom. A large open sundeck, as well as a covered verandah, has very comfortable furniture. They have full ocean views. The maximum occupancy for the suites is 2 adults. Stays in the Honeymoon Deluxe Suite receive the complimentary Honeymoon Package, which consists of a bottle of champagne, a fruit basket, a private excursion to romantic Honeymoon Island, a half-day trip to beautiful Bouma Waterfalls, and two Fijian sulus.
Featuring the finest ocean views from Maravu, the four Oceanview Spa Villas are expansive. With a large sitting room and a large bedroom, the individual villas embody a casual elegance, with leather and palm tree wood furniture, a fully stocked mini-bar, both an indoor and outdoor bathroom, a covered verandah, and a large sundeck with ocean views. The outdoor river rock courtyard boasts an open air shower and a Jacuzzi spa waterfall pool. The villas are situated away from the main area of the resort, and are connected via a tropical rainforest walkway and bridge, allowing for a true feeling of privacy and seclusion. The maximum occupancy for the villas is 3 adults, or 2 adults and 2 children. Stays in the Oceanview Spa Villa receive our complimentary Spa Package, which consists of two Maravu Massages (25 minutes each), two traditional Fijian scalp massages (15 minutes each), two Pure Fiji Body Scrubs (15 minutes each), and two Maravu Bathrobes.

THE TREEHOUSE
Maravu's newest, finest and largest Bure is also it's most unique. The Treehouse is situated at treetop level, amongst an ancient Rain Tree. Extensive decks and a covered verandah with very comfortable furnishings offer premium views of both the ocean and surrounding lush tropical rainforest. The large bedroom and expansive living room feature elegant furnishings, including a king-size bed, leather and palm tree wood furniture, a stocked mini-bar and more. The fully air-conditioned Treehouse has two full indoor bathrooms, and the living area can be converted into a second private bedroom, allowing for privacy for two couples sharing, or a family. A large outdoor courtyard features an open-air shower and a state-of-the-art Jacuzzi spa pool. The maximum occupancy for The Treehouse is 4 adults, or 2 adults and 2 children (minimum of 12 years of age). Stays in The Treehouse receive our complimentary Treehouse Package that consists of two Maravu Massages (25 minutes each), a fruit basket, two Fijian sulus (sarongs), a half-day trip to beautiful Bouma Waterfalls, and a half-day tour of Taveuni's stunning west coast.

DIVING
Jewel Bubble Divers are located next to Maravu's beach and offer diving with two boats. One is a 8 meter (26 foot) aluminium half cabin boat powered by an outboard engine for up to 8 divers. FREE ACTIVITIES
There are many complimentary activities to enjoy at Maravu. Go horseback riding, have fun on the mountain bikes, explore the coastline in a kayak, or be enthralled by snorkelling off the beach and seeing the beauty of the underwater world. you can also do guided plantation walks, croquet, and bocchi ball.
Several times a week you may witness a Fijian Kava ceremony and entertainment with the houseband, and there is a weekly Meke (Fijian songs and dances) and Lovo (Fijian underground oven feast).
And of course, you may relax in a hammock on your private verandah, or by the pool, or stroll down to Maravu's beach for some sunbathing, swimming or beachcombing.

ACTIVITIES
Visit a Catholic Mission, go on a sunset cruise, watch the Taveuni blow holes, see a working copra plantation, go rainforest hiking, or rise early for an excellent bird-watching experience. Golfing and tennis is available at Taveuni estates - Maravu can supply the clubs and racquets if required.

FISHING
The Reel Joker is a 21 ft. Fiberglass center console with a brand new 4-stroke 225 hp Yamaha engine affording a soft ride, speed, maneuverability while allowing a good casting platform from either the bow or the stern. Standard light tackle gear of Penn 30, 50's and 80's are provided with the boat which meets all USCG standards complete with standard safety gear, GPS, VHF. For GT and Fly fisherman bring your own angling outfits and favorite lures.
