BLUE LAGOON BEACH RESORT, Yasawa islands
situated on a long white sandy beach with crystal clear water and stunning sunsets
Blue Lagoon Beach Resort is now operating a similar structure to Octopus Resort on Waya Island and is located on one of the most pristine locations in the Yasawa Group. The aspect of the Resort provides stunning sunsets either directly into the ocean or stunningly dropping behind Tavewa island directly west of the resort. Blue Lagoon Beach resort's water supply comes from a a large bore supply that testing has shown is completely safe to drink with no treatment, although they have chosen to purify it for consumption. The natural features and beauty of the location were the deciding factor in the purchase of the resort (formerly Nalova Bay Resort), as once you have the beach, water, snorkeling and sunsets, everything else can be built
|BEACH FRONT VILLAS
The rooms have been built with a weatherboard beachside style construction, but Fijian finish. All the bures have grass facade's on the roofs with the interior of the ceiling finished with spectacular decorative rope work and polished plated tamba (coconut leaves). The rooms have been finished with stunning indoor/outdoor bathrooms. The vanities are polished raintree which goes with the outdoor garden finish. There is a mahogany deck path which leads to an outdoor rockwall shower. All of the beachfront villas have their own designated hammocks and 2 sun beds.
The existing beachfront bures have had a complete makeover. The old bathrooms were removed and the interior fitted with the same Fijian flare as the beach front villas. The bathrooms have been added onto the back of the bures and also incorporate the outdoor bathroom design with rock wall shower and garden setting.
The second room has a built in bunk bed. The bathroom is consistent with the outdoor theme but of a slightly larger design. This bathroom has a double vanity, with stunning reed walls to complete the Fijian theme. Currently this bure is the only air-conditioned room on the resort.
|GARDEN VIEW AND DORM ROOMS
There are 11 dorm beds (not bunk beds) The garden view is a private room but it has a simpler bathroom design. The bure still has a picturesque outlook and balcony furniture for relaxing in the afternoon.
Renovations to the garden view rooms include a complete makeover with the addition of a stunning inside/outside bathroom design. The bathroom shower has been finished with river stones and mahogany surrounds. The rooms are located one row back from the beachfront.
The Lagoon Bar and restaurant can seat currently 64 guests with the building design easily adaptable to increase to 80 - 90 when demand requires. It keeps with the Fijian surrounds with sand floor and original polished local bush timbers on the ceiling. The bar has a stunning, polished rain tree top and this timber is carried over to the breakfast buffet portion. The bar front has been finished with corrugated iron which is mirrored on the back wall of the restaurant.
